Executive Order 14179
In December of 2025, President Donald Trump signed Executive Order 14179, which is aimed at blocking states from creating their own Artificial Intelligence regulations. This E.O. directs the Attorney General to create a new task force to challenge state laws and orders the Commerce Department to draw up a list of problematic regulations. Click on this link and think about the way it is written. This explains how Trump is determined to control AI and how it is developed.
Section 1, Purpose, reads: I revoked my predecessor’s attempt to paralyze this industry and directed my Administration to remove barriers to United States AI leadership. It also states that the framework should ensure that children are protected, censorship is prevented, copyrights are respected, and communities are safeguarded. This is what AI companies like Google and Anthropic are already trying to enforce. But this E.O. reads differently, as Trump doesn’t believe in restrictions.
What scares me is the next paragraph that starts out by saying, “To win, United States AI companies must be free to innovate without cumbersome regulation.” This tells me that he will personally dictate the rules. This is further proven in Section 3 that states his Attorney General shall establish an AI Litigation Task Force whose sole responsibility shall be to challenge State AI laws inconsistent with the policy set forth in Section 2, Policy.
This 2nd Section consists of this one sentence: “It is the policy of the United States to sustain and enhance the United States’ global AI dominance through a minimally burdensome national policy framework for AI.” Now consider that Section 3 goes on to declare other reasons for prohibiting states from legislating AI restrictions, and even prohibits any regulations that “are otherwise unlawful in the Attorney General’s judgment.”
If this doesn’t predict that AI is going to be developed for the gold and glory of our omnipotent President, then there is truly no cure for stupid. Very few Congressional Republicans are willing to support ‘We the People’ over Corporate America’s profiteering. Controlling the development of AI has to be subject to strict rules that protect privacy and improve the living conditions of the American people. To better understand how today’s technological conveniences have already taken over our way of life, read my Posting: Don’t let technology control us.
The Palantir and Anthropic Relationship
To see how much money the Trump Administration is spending on developing Artificial Intelligence, don’t just look at the military missiles and fighter jets; look at how it affects our privacy. A highly controversial Trump-backed data integration project, led by the more compliant technology company Palantir, has been reported as building a federal AI data platform linking Social Security, IRS, and immigration records under a federated system that purportedly will eliminate fraud detection and behavioral analysis.
On Nov. 7, 2024, Anthropic and Palantir Technologies Inc announced their partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide U.S. intelligence and defense agencies access to the Claude family of AI models. This partnership allows the use of Anthropic’s Claude AI models with Palantir’s AI Platform (AIP) while maintaining the security, agility, flexibility, and sustainability benefits provided by Amazon.
During the Biden Administration, this partnership with Palantir’s existing government contracts enabled Anthropic’s Claude development models to access classified environments. These models were already being used in the commercial sector with American Industrial Partners (AIP). The above link to the Claude AI models spells out its commitment to safety and privacy.
I explained in my previously mentioned posting on how business-created technology is destroying our TV viewing and internet searches with constant interruptions. Now, we have AI being integrated in all possible government agencies, with Trump controlling its development. Here again, Trump is demanding that AI be developed to suit his desire to control every aspect of our government. Now you must judge for yourself if you think AI is being developed by Trump for all the right reasons.
Click on this Palantir App called ELITE, which is being used to find neighborhoods to raid. This has grown to a point that has put our entire nation in fear of indiscriminate prosecution by its search of these massive federal government databases. Here you will see how this Enhanced Leads Identification & Targeting for Enforcement program is being misused. It is providing information that includes an individual’s name, a photo, their date of birth, and their full address.
If a person is deemed to be an immigrant, they are assigned an Alien Number (the unique code given by the U.S. government to each immigrant). Privacy advocates call it a “digital dragnet.” Supporters call it modernized fraud prevention. Either way, it shows how deeply AI is now embedded in the most sensitive federal databases. The federal government partnership between Palantir and Anthropic changed when Trump started using Claude development models for military operations.
During a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing on March 18, 2026, FBI Director Kash Patel admitted under oath that the agency purchases data, which can be used to track Americans. This article contradicts Anthropic’s Claude development models, that contains the agreement that it would not be used for mass surveillance or for legal autonomous weapons. This short YouTube video will give you a better understanding of how much Trump is determined to control AI Development. This led to Anthropic suing President Trump in early March 2026.
On March 26 Anthropic won a preliminary injunction in its fight with Trump’s new Department of War. Click on this link that explains how Trump is using the Judicial Branch for retaliation against anything that gets in his way, causing substantial waste of government funding and expertise of dedicated department personnel.
Shortly before Hegseth declared Anthropic a supply chain risk, President Donald Trump wrote a Truth Social post ordering federal agencies to “immediately cease” all use of Anthropic’s technology. He said there would be a six-month phase-out period for agencies like the DOD.
Trump’s control of AI is costing all of us
From these articles, you can see that our Federal Government is heavily investing in AI development, with our tax money. The Pentagon’s Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Officer, Cameron Stanley, has become the most aggressive buyer of advanced AI in the federal government. This is putting our National Debt further into the trillions of dollars. Other, more costly and lavishly spending areas of Trump’s revised agenda fall within his plans for military warfare and the deportation of immigrants.
In his role, Mr. Stanley leads the Department of War’s transition into the adoption of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) to generate a decision advantage. Stanley states that his CDAO team’s methodology is not aiming for 100 percent perfection in terms of performance of AI capabilities, but rather aiming for 80 percent success, and then conducting trial and error alongside users until a system is fully optimized and synced to the desired mission outcomes.
Although he appears to be highly qualified, it remains to be seen how this AI transition aligns with all of Trump’s demands. This AI Strategy directs the DOW to “accelerate America’s Military AI Dominance” by becoming an “AI‑first” warfighting force aligned with the above mentioned EO 14179 and America’s AI Action Plan. Read more about the Department of War’s Artificial Intelligence-First Agenda by Holland & Knight.
What worries me here is the remarks that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth made at Elon Musk’s Starbase, Texas, home of SpaceX. Hegseth states, “You see, this isn’t about military structure. This is about building an innovation pipeline that cuts through the overgrown bureaucratic underbrush and clears away the debris Elon style, preferably with a chainsaw, and to do so at speed and urgency that meets the moment.”
He goes on to say that, “This strategy will unleash experimentation, eliminate bureaucratic barriers, focus on investments and demonstrate the execution approach needed to ensure we lead in military AI and that it grows more dominant into the future.” Furthermore, he states, “In short, we will win this race by becoming an AI first warfighting force across all domains, from the back offices of the Pentagon to the tactical edge on the front lines.”
The strategy emphasizes rapid experimentation with leading commercial AI models, removes “bureaucratic barriers” and focuses investment in U.S. asymmetric advantages in compute, model innovation, capital markets and operational data. The key word here is asymmetric, meaning irregular or distorted. Click here to read the full 24 page PDF document titled AMERICA’S AI ACTION PLAN that was released by the Trump administration.
Controlling the Development of AI Is Critical
I don’t disagree with Cameron Stanley’s goals for AI technology in our government, as long as it follows Anthropic’s Claude development model. Industry-wide, there are many highly beneficial applications that Artificial Intelligence is creating outside of destructive warfare. The world already knows that its misguided usage can cause great harm. Not only in combat missions but also economically.
There is no need for our government to push this growth recklessly. However, Trump’s Secretary of War appointee, Pete Hegseth, demanding immediate compliance with the GOP AI Action Plan, appears to be a case of a fool rushing in where wise men fear to tread. The development of AI is extremely costly, with its massive infrastructure and potential impact on people’s lives worldwide, and it needs to be carefully managed.
Not only is our government subsidizing corporate America’s AI development, but Donald Trump and his family are also making obscene profits from AI stock investments. Click on this Forbes Investment Article that explains how the Trump Organization has created hundreds of millions of dollars in profit since he took office in 2025. I have explained his incessant profiteering in my Posting on the Golden Age of America.
Now, some people are accusing Trump of manipulating stock markets. This is mostly true with how he is conducting his unjustified involvement in Israel’s war against Iran, which is rapidly spreading throughout the Middle East. Click on these two links to learn more about how this is possible. This second link is a video presented by The New York Times that answers the question: Did Trump Manipulate the Stock Market?
Look how Trump is using AI along with our now federally controlled databases. This I explained in my Posting about his promised 2025 retribution campaign seeking revenge against prominent American citizens who were part of his “Deep State” conspiracy theory. He is using AI to search Federal Databases that he has centralized and now has complete control over its development. He also claims the right to search for any information that can cause them pain and suffering.
Another concern with Trump controlling AI development is cybersecurity. AI is now widely seen as the biggest threat to online security. AI must become the solution not the problem. Hackers are already bypassing outdated internet security protocols. Major companies can no longer ignored the problems, as so many institutions have been hit with ransomware and other fraudulent software.
With Anthropic’s Claude AI models that we are already seeing, the scale and severity of AI-enabled cyberattacks are becoming even more sophisticated. AI voice cloning tools are an ongoing problem used to impersonate U.S government officials and extract sensitive or classified information or conduct scams. Voice recognition has become a solution to internet security access in addition to or as a replacement for passwords.
However, voice recording has become a free enterprise system of government problem for all of us. I explained this in my earlier mentioned link to my Posting of Don’t Let Technology Control Us. Here is another link that talks about a Texas lawsuit against Samsung TV watching you. AI is enabling rapid, tailored content creation, allowing criminals to personalize scams with unprecedented efficiency. This should serve as both a warning and a wake-up call, highlighting the need for equally advanced AI-enabled detection, authentication, and monitoring tools.
